Nor-Weld Ltd. was established by Leon Wesley Welch in Orillia, Ontario. With a passion for quality and community service, Leon laid the foundation for a company built on craftsmanship, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
1990s
1973–1990s: Building a Reputation
In its early years, Nor-Weld focused on essential steelwork, including structural steel, stairs, railings, and more. The company became known for its dependable service and high-quality output, playing a pivotal role in shaping Orillia’s construction landscape.

1990s–2010s: Expansion and Growth

Leon Welch not only led Nor-Weld with integrity but also supported Orillia through philanthropy, supported OSMH, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District, Hospice Simcoe and Crohn’s and Colitis Canada and advocating for local business development. His dedication to the community and his company left an indelible mark.

2019: A Legacy Remembered
Leon Welch passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. His values of hard work, craftsmanship, and community remain at the core of Nor-Weld’s operations.
